I was wondering if there was a way to maintain links between 2 or more tables when I copy them from one drawing and paste them into another. I've tried a couple of different methods such as making them a block or inserting the entire original drawing, but still it doesn't work. The tables do maintain formatting and formulas within itself. The trouble comes when I have a field or a formula that utilizes data linked from a cell in another table.

Which AutoCAD are you using?

OK the only way to link Excel in a table in 2006 is to paste as a Excel worksheet or use a third party software (Excel2CAD as example)To paste as a Excel worksheet limits the cosmetic style you can do to it but it will update when Excel is updated.

If it's only AutoCAD entities (i.e. an AutoCAD table) then it's simple, don't copy-n-paste. Save the table(s) only to a separate DWG file, then XREF it into any drawing you wish it to appear in. If you need to update the table, open that file, change the table. Whenever you open any of the other drawings it will show the new version of the table.
