Surfaces and Volumes

Hy, I'm Andrew and I really have some questions. I'm a noob in topometry. My question is, how can I make a surface in Acad 2008 or Acad Civil 3D 2008. So then I can calculate some volumes??? I have my topo mesurements and I want to create a surface from the measurements and then calculate the volumes of earth used or removed from two surfaces. Until now I have used Surfer 8, but I am tiered of moving the points in XLS and then in Surfer.

Please help me... !
