Installation hangs up

I am installing Viz 2008 and it seems to hang up on the first component, .net framework runtime 2.0 hotfix.

I have verified that .net framework in installed onto the system, I have 1.1, 1.1 hotfix, 2.0, 2.0SP1 and 3.0SP1. everything seems to be there, but the installation is hanging.

I am not really sure why it's hanging up, any one have an idea how I can fix this?

Here's a few things to think on:
Is there a log for you to check that might provide an error code of some sort?
Have you disabled anti-virus/anit-spam/etc. prior to running said product install?
Have you verified user rights for the machine?
