Hello all,

A have Inventor Pro 2008 loaded on my Vista O/S notebook.

My properties dialogue box does not show up, even though I have set the setvars that apply to 1. I have heard that Vista and some anti-virus software will cause disruptions to AutoCAD Mechanical, such as knock out the properties box, and that the way to fix this is to perform a registery repair. How do you do this?

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance,
JohnAG

Just loaded in MDT Service Pack 1, and the dialog box is back.

Who would have thought!

Vista can cause lots of unforseen problems as you have discovered. I received Vista from Windows to run on top of XP O/S all of a sudden I couldn't use HP Image Zone to produce photos. The solution was to remove Vista but while doing that I cleared a lot of unused programs from C drive and move AutoCAD to D drive, now my PC runs faster and I stay away from new Windows programs, I wont be a sucker for thier new programs again.
Now my HP All-in-one works fine. Conclusion, stay away from Vista unless you've just got to have the latest whatever !
