Changing a property for multiple structures

I created my pipe network using a single alignment but now need to change the alignment of part of my network. I'm able to select multiple structure/pipes using shift/left click but when I go to the reference alignment and click on it the selection reverts back to just that pipe/structure. I don't want to change the reference alignment on the whole network just a large enough number of structures to make one at a time a bit tedious. Is there another way anyone has found to do this. Thanks.

I'm not in front of a computer that has C3D on it right now so if I'm wrong, forgive me.

After picking the rows you want to modify, instead of picking the alignment in one of the rows, right click on the column heading and select edit. This works for a lot of things in C3D and I'm assuming it will work for this as well.
