You can not batch plot to file if your sheet names are using Windows reserved characters. You need to either avoid using them or temporarily do without or use something else in your names. An example of what won't work: Elevator Stair Plans / Sections

An example of what won't work: Elevator Stair Plans / Sections I have had DWF files have linking problems too when using Windows reserved characters.

Which characters are OK? How about dashes and underscores? Which are the reserved characters in the ASCII set?

Which characters are OK? From Windows help: File names cannot contain the following characters:


\ / : * ? " < > |



Since Revit uses the sheet names (and views in references) as part of the filename when plotting to file (or pdf/dwf for that matter) it follows that it won't be able to plot sheets that use these characters. An error trap and warning dialog would be a nice addition when we forget to deal with this.
