Ability to create layers from the style manager

mmm - so why would you want to do this? Please explain the advantage...

Say i'm editing a wall style & I want to put a component on a specific layer. If the layer is not already created, i have to back out of the whole editor, create the layer, then go back to the style editor.
In civil 3D they have this ability already.
