i have a noob-tastic question that i should know the answer to and cant figure out. i have a masonry section block that array's in one direction - the arrow for it should stay attatched to the top of the masonry, but for some reason it seems to make its home one full block height past the top, and it annoys me. what am i doing wrong with the block that makes it do this and how do i fix it? its been a while since ive toyed with more than a really basic DB and i dont remember some simple stuff like this :cry:

danke.

ps. i miss this forum

edit: file upload

is your parameter set to snap with the coursing?

On first glance everything LOOKS good. looks like everything should be working fine ...... but it's not .... weird.

could it have something to do with minimum distances in the array? it is set to an odd fraction...

i havent really looked at it much in the last day or two, ive been crying in a corner over bidding stuff:banghead:

i don;t THINK the odd fractions should be an issue ... as long as the size on the block matches what is on the array and parameter properties then it should be good ....

If you pull the bottom grip on your distance down just slightly, or just increase the height of your distance to something more than 2-43/64, and keep your grip at the top of the brick, the grip stays w/ the top coursing of brick. it seems that somehow the arrays overlap, but i'm just guessing. I don't really know why this works, but it seems to for me: See the attachment.

i had forgotten about this. we re-visited the block and changed the array number to 8/3 and it seems to be working now - although i havent had a chance to use it in a while.
