Hi,

can somebody help me to draw very basic structure of aviary - shape like 1/2 of footbal ball, i am just beginer and already trying second day, but with no result.

1. Create 6-sided and 5-sided polygon with same length of edges.
2. Create rectangle as shown
3. Create circle in ZY as shown
4. Mirror circle in XY, use red line as axis of symmetry
5. Rotate polygon in ZY endpoint of edge to circle's intersection
6. Polar Array for 5 itmes.
7. Prepared as shown.
8. Using ALIGN command put polygons as shown
9. Polar Array for 5 itmes.
10. Copy. Mirror in XZ. Rotate in XY for 36 degrees. Move.
11. Region. Render.

Soccer ball or truncated dodecahedron is ready.

Same way possible to do dodecahedron. Only use 2 5-sided polygons on the start.

Try to read AutoCAD help and to play with mentioned commands, everything will be easier.
