one linear parameter moves another's parameter grip

I know this can happen but I can't seem to make it work. I want to have a linear parameter with one grip that MOVES another linear parameter's one grip when the first parameter's grip is selected and moved. Currently, I have a MOVE action associated with the first parameter's grip and the only thing selected to move is the 2nd parameter's grip but the second grip just sits there when the first is dragged. What am I missing? I thought (in 2006) that there was a little selectable "X" under the grip you wanted to move but now in 2007 I don't see this little "X" to select so I've been selecting the grip itself to move. Again , it just sits there when I stretch the first linear parameter grip. Am I going crazy?

do you want to move the grip only, or the grip AND that end of the parameter?

I beleive in order to move a grip, you also have to select the entire parameter. this will also move the opposite base point on that parameter, and not change the parameter's distance value as it is moved. If you need to keep the second parameter's basepoint constant, and only want to move the one grip, you can accomplish that with a stretch action (you also have to select both the parameter and the grip). hope that helps. without an attached file, I am just going on what I think you are asking.

That was it. STRETCH instead of MOVE. I was thinking too much about what it looked like when you moved one grip because it appeared to MOVE the other grip also. I just forgot that it's actually the stretch command that does the trick. Thanks
