Printing to PDF doesn't ask for file location - 2009

I just tried printing to Adobe PDF, and instead of asking me where to save after hitting the print button, it just automatically does its thing and spits out a PDF saved to the directory specified for user files (our root server directory in my case).

Looks like a bug, unless there's some setting I'm missing.

Have you checked your Adobe PDF properties? Under the Adobe PDF settings tab it has an option called Adobe PDF Output folder. There you have two choices: Prompt for Adobe PDF filename or the folder where it will be automatically save with no questions whatsoever.

Yeah that got it. Took me awhile to find that setting, though. I had to right-click the Adobe PDF printer in my printer list and go to Printing Preferences to set it. Odd thing is that I don't remember ever changing that setting, and yet last week it was working fine.
