Hello- Does anyone know of a Civil 3d routine that can replicate the LDD <Create 3D Polyline Step> command?
I am trying to create a curb from a breakline collected along the flowline and am open to any other suggestions.
Thanks-Tom

I'm not familiar with the step command in LDT but have you tried the stepped offset in C3D? It's the last icon on the feature line toolbar. When you run the command, watch your command line, there are a lot of options.

The Stepped Offset command that Brian refered to is what you are looking for. It is a combination of the LDT Create Curb command and Create Step command. Use the "variable" option to make it behave similar to the Create Step command. These commands only work on feature lines. If you have 3D polylines they will need to be converted.

Also, be aware that the Stepped Offset command was broken in 2008 SP2 - it no longer offsets intermediate elevation points (elevation points that are not at horizontal PIs). This problem is fixed in the 2009 release.
