Minimum cell width?

Is there a min. cell width? I had created a Point Chart that holds a single text "X" in Acad2006 the cell width & height was set at 0.25"x0.25" with a text height of 3/32" and margins of 1/16". Now in Acad2008 the width has grown to .375" and I am not able to change it. Anyone have any ideas as to what has happened? I would just use the older version table however when I copy it into a new drawing it expands out to the 0.375" cell width.

When you insert the table in 2008 are the text styles and table styles the same?
