Hi All,

After making the switch from impression 1 to 2, I now notice that many of my style effects don't appear correctly in Impression, but they look fine when I plot or export to PDF.
For example, when I create a style with a drop shadow effect, the drop shadow doesn't appear at all in Impression, but it looks fine in a PDF created from the same file.
It sounds like maybe there's a setting to turn off display of certain effects to speed up refreshing, but I can't seem to find anything like that in the options.
Anyone know what could be causing this?

Thanks,

Mike P.

Oh, man I am kinda stoked now. I can actually answer a question.
I had the same problem. Finally decided to jump in and make myself the office expert on Impression.
I fought with drop shadows for a half day. Like you I would create one, and it would not be there.
Why?
I did it again.
Still not there.
Why?
Followed the instruction, did it 5 times, and still, same results.

Okay, go to File>Performance Tuner
The Drawing Performance Tuner dialog box pops up.
Click on the Optimize Style Display tab and you can choose to either do a "Enable fast screen display" or you can pick the particular options you want to turn off.
If you check, or actually you will uncheck the "Enable fast screen display" this will turn on the shadows.
Or leave that box checked and just uncheck the "Shadown effects" box.

If you're using Impression 3, just look at the bottom of the screen. There is a toggle there to turn on and off the Fast Display option.
