View Full Version : Is there a way to view an .arx file?

We have a Doc management system that has gone by the wayside and is not compatible with R2005. I think that the arx file links the database to the dwg file. The arx file will not load in R2005 so I thought it might just take a minor change (hopefully) to make it compatible.

Thanks for your help!
Mike

An *.arx file is the compiled version of C++, basically a dll using the ObjectArx libraries. You would have to have the source code to edit it...providing you know C++. BTW, sounds like you're talking about AMW. I just switched to Adept.

Actually it is Green Pastures Software Wedge. We are looking at going to AMW Meridian, but are trying to get by in the mean time. Is there some drawbacks to meridian that you had found? How is Adept?

We are in the purchasing phase, havn't implemented it yet. Meridian is way to expensive for our size of 30+ users. Adept compares to Teamwork but is cheaper and customizable, and programable.
