"I would love to see linking of images in the same fashion as a dwg file. That way I can link an image...keep modifying the image as the design shapeshifts and not have to keep importing the newer one. An image external reference if you will."

"To tag on my original wish, I'd also like to be able use the raster image "manager" for something other than deleting an image. I'd like to be able to place one from the list of loaded images. If I go to the trouble to insert one, yet later delete it, it is still listed in the dialog box. If Revit is going to that trouble instead of purging when the last instance is deleted I'd like to be able to drag one back into a view. This raster image "manager" seems a little unfinished to me."

I know that the Revit MEP forum is supposed to be for MEP design tools, but this issue came up when I was drawing existing ductwork from old plans. It was annoying and time consuming deleting, reimporting, rotating to the correct angle, etc. and doing this multiple times when a link could just be a checkbox. After 4 years of being on the wishlist, I thought it was about time to resurrect it seeing that we could use it in RMEP as well!
