Reset Tag Number

I am trying to create a line and curve table. i started by adding tags to an alignment....then the crash. now when i get back in i cant reset my number to start at C1 or L1, it starts at L19 or C11. i have tried renumbering them but it only increases the number. i have searched other post and gotten nowhere. thanks.

I know this answer is really late and you probably have found the answer already, but in case someone or you need to know what is causing the increase in number here you go.

When you go to lines/curves drop down menu, add tables, renumber tags, then instead of selecting the tags go to settings and then change the starting number back to 0.

And if you STILL can't use the numbers, try moving your geometry to a different Site. Sometimes tag numbers get "hung up" internally in C3D, and moving your geometry to a different Site gets you around the problem.
