Drawing Units

I'm having a problem with units and associated dimensioning. The associated dimensioning tag in the options folder will not stay on. The units keep switching off every time I exit a drawing.

Is there a setting for these? I can't seem to locate one

Any help relieving the frustration will be helpful.

Are you using Drawing Set-up to establish your units
or the UNITS command?

I'm using the units command, although I have set up the fact that the drawing should be read in inches in the Options Menu.

I do have the units and dimensioning set up in my template file. And I did use the units command to set them up there as well.

You will need to do this in Drawing Set-up or the
settings there, or lack thereof will continue to
override the settings you enter through the UNITS
command.
