Does anyone know which Service Pack to use which does the same as for AutoCAD 2008 in removing Annotation Scale problem...??? (_XREF_XREF_XREF_XREF_XREF...)
I when to link below and found over 90 results list for Civil 3D service pack.
http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/usearch/results?la=en&nh=10&col=wacjprd&col=usuppprd&siteID=123112&catID=123155&id=2088334&qt=civil+3d+service+pack
I'm hoping that upgrading my service pack will help reducing the crashing of Civil 3D others have claim to be happening. I just started using it and I'm trying to head off any future problems with crashing.
Civil 3D also has the same problem with Annotation Scale listing.
Thanks

Bump, Bump Bump,bump bump up.....
**********
Sorry to keep asking for this but now that I know I'm starting to find this problem getting bigger in Civil 3D...
I have gotten AutoCAD 2008 V working fine now but not Civil 3D...
So if anyone here knows which Service Pack to download Please let me (us) know...
Thanks
From the SP2 Readme:
Annotation Scaling
When dragging and dropping a named view from the style sheet manager to the host drawing, the annotation scaling features work properly
Custom scales which exist in the nested xrefs are no longer duplicated in the host drawing
Blocks in the Tool Palettes created from the DesignCenter annotative drawings are now annotative
Get SP2 here:

Thanks Miff,
I read the readme file and this sounds like the one I was looking for.
Thanks a lot...
:)
I'm having our IT add it to our login log so that I don't need to run around installing it.

Hi Jesse (errrr Cad Dog)
You will be happy to hear that in 2009 the list of XREF_ scales can be completely hidden with a click of a button (This setting is turned ON by default too!)

Thanks Mark that is great to hear but I know that it will be another year or so before we (my company) start using the next version. If it happens like before we will be going to 2010 and not 2009... They don't like the odd number around here and that's because of 11, 13, etc...
To many bugs...
I hear that with 2009 the spell check is bugy and it don't work as it did with 2008.
Anyway, Thanks Mark for the heads up...

i haven't experienced a buggy spell check, but you are right, it does work differently, it underlines misspelled words in red when editing the text, similar to Word so you can see words that are misspelled

Unfortunately, this doesn't solve the problem, it only hides it. You can still have thousands of scale list entries in the drawing - only in 2009 you might not know it...

It appears Scale List is the new Layer Filter problem. :?

Or RegApps, or data-only proxy objects.

I have ran the SP 2 and i'm using the same lisp to clean out the _XRF
and now I'm NOT seeing any to things anymore so far...:)
With every new upgrade there are always new things to fix and adjust...
That hasn't ever change yet...
