Hi all,

While I understand the idea behind the Vault it has to be the most frustrating thing/program I have ever worked with. Yesterday I spent the entire day making 120 parts parametric. I then checked the job in and made a copy of it to another folder. Now not only is the copied folders parts not properly linked but the exl file they were linked to is incorrect. I checked the parts befor I closed out the original program and they worked.
Is there a gooooood book that will explain how to properly utlize the Vault so that this kind of error does not happen again?

Thank you,
Rolane

Autodesk has a Vault book that I've read though. Here is a link to a PDF of the first chapter.

The book I'd have to say leaves a bit to be desired in the practicality of things, but if you can read between the lines, actually contains useful information. Typically when setting up a new Vault for the first time, it's best to get the reseller to set it up. Trying to figure it out on your own isn't the easiest thing, even if you're IT savy.
