Cell Contents and Formatting

After selecting the Excel sheet to link to in the "New Excel Data Link" dialog box, there is an arrow to expand the dialog box to show "Cell Contents" and "Cell Formatting" options. Two options in the contents are checked and one in the formatting. Is there a way to have all the boxes de-selected? Like an AutoCAD variable, so I don't even have to expand the dialog box?
