Converting plot files to dwg files

An ex coworker erased all the details off one of my cad drawings. I have a plot file of the drawing and I need to convert the plt file to a cad dwg file. I know there's a way to do it with express tools, but it tells me that the plt file is not in the right hpgl format. Is there a way to do this?

The PLT converter in Express Tools is only for HPGL plot files.
