We have a problem where our linked revit files dont update, even when we use 'manage links' , 'reload'. We have to restart revit for it to upload
A real pain obviously, we are just using a linked revit site plan with one user (pads, landscaping etc) and a house plan with the other
Any ideas?

I think you mean when you open host file and you try to upload the link file. You cannot open the host file at the same time with link file. First save and close file and open host file and you will get upload file automatic.

Are you also using Worksets? I've ran into a minor problem where I'll open an office project living on the server using my laptop instead of my desktop. My laptop doesn't have the network drive mapped to it the same way that the desktop does (long story). It will try to open those links, but fail to find them, and then turn them off. I'll work for a while, then save back to Central, and when I open the file with my desktop (sometimes I'll render on the desktop while I work off the laptop to speed things up) I'll notice that sometimes if I don't have the workset that the links live on checked out it will sometimes fail to reload them, and going into the Manage Links and hitting reload doesn't do anything either. But all I've had to do to fix this is to first check the 'loaded' box next to the link, and *then* hit reload, and then everything loads right back up fine...
So I think there might be a conflict of rights with the workset and the links when you're working with different paths... But I haven't worried about nailing down the problem, for it's not been enough of a issue.
