Hi Guys!

My menu bar went missing for some reasons when I was using my program. I have restarted and then changed menubar default to (0) and (1) but it still does not do anything. I can only see the express menu in there. I am using AutoCad Civil 3D 2009 as AutoCAD. I am not doing anything when it disappear. Is there a way to put it back? I've upload my a print screen to better undestand my problem. Thanks.

I've upload my a print screen to better undestand my problem. Please convert your screenshot to a .png file (MSPaint can do this) and post the .png rather than the Word document.

Haven't you heard of MENULOAD? If no try it.I doubt that is the issue. OP, do you have a workspace saved of your interface? Have you restored that workspace? When you use the CUI command, do you see all the CUI files you expect?

If you hadn't saved a workspace try restoring any workspace and see what happens.

well... I did not saved any workspace so there's nothing for me to get back to. I tried the menu load and it did nothing, a good try. Yes! I did see all the CUI files that needs to be there and I dont want to touch this guys inside this CUI coz I'm not used to this yet. any more tips or these needs to be reloaded? thanks!

Did you try restoring one of the workspaces that come with AutoCAD?

I think I was able to get away with this problem by restoring my ARG files from my home computer.....I don't think that this is the solution...if anyone has a real solution please let me know. thanks!!

It's possible that your menubar is "floating" just off the screen so the menubar 0/1 setting is working but you can't see it going off/on. Try unlocking all your toolbars/panels by rt-clicking in an empty space of the tollbar area. You just might see it appear.

I find it hard to believe this thread has made it to two pages in length.

The OP's screenshot (really!? a .DOC!?) clearly shows that the menu bar is present within their workspace, and the OP makes it clear that there is only the Express menu being displayed.

The menubar does not float off screen (toolbars can, but not the menubar).

What the OP needs to do is open either restore a vanilla workspace, or use the ._cui command to open the CUI Editor and create/modify their current workspace by adding the desired menus to the menu bar which is already present.

Now, this may be an issue with the ACAD.cui not being loaded properly, etc. but the OP needs to report back to let us know how the simple steps pan out first.

Good luck!

Yep, there's only 3 ways this could happen:

The needed CUI file(s) are not loaded. E.g. the acad.cui in Vanilla, might be something else on Civil 3D. However, I don't think this is the OP's problem - since the toolbars show correctly (i.e. the CUI must have been loaded).
The OP's workspace has the menu's turned off (all except Express). You can either swap to one of the default workspaces, or use the CUI command to turn the menus back on for your workspace.
The CUI was recreated manually (maybe through transfer tab in CUI), but the menus weren't dragged across.IMO, the OP's got either 2 or 3 happening. Most probably 2 as RenderMan's stated. Anyway, this is a bit of an old thread isn't it? I wouldn't really like it when after 2 years someone finally gives me a workable answer
