Connector system not sticking?

Hi guys,

I have kind of put my self down a dead end, so now "I gotta aks some questions". I made some basic families for some Haakon AHU's with heating and cooling coils. Originally, I didn't set all the return connectors for Hydronic return, although I did set flow direction (I was interupted months ago and forgot). When I tried to create a return system, I wasn't able to, and I quickly figured out that half of my families had a return connector, and half didn't.
Now that I have edited the families, and reloaded them into the model, I still can't get the system creator to recognize them?
Also, I included the flow rate in the connector, but it seems like the system creator isn't picking this up?

My guess is your families are of the wrong category, probably generic models. In order for MEP's system functionality to work with them you have to change their category (Settings > Family Category and Parameters) to some type of equipment; mechanical equipment, plumbing fixture, electrical equipment, etc.
