Does anyone have or know of an office Internet and E-mail SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) that I may review?
Our office has no standards and we are experiencing some minor problems with individual workstations picking up spyware, adware, and other XXX pop-ups, etc.
I need to implement some sort of standards of conduct while using the internet and e-mail before this gets real crazy here!
Thanks,

Here are our - of course the hard part is ensuring their use - we have software that monitors internet usage, and they automatically check the top 10% of people who use the internet the most (based on time online) to see what they are doing
They also check our computers to see if anything is on there.
I would also suggest installing a spyware removal program and have it run regularly on all systems.

You might also look into email filter software like SpamAssassin (http://spamassassin.apache.org/). Also maybe using a different browser other then IE. I use Firefox (http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/index.html). This will block out probably 90% of the popups, spyware, and such from your computer.
