Summary: Add a location line within roof assemblies that behaves consistently inherently to the roof assembly type (e.g. core boundaries in walls), whether the geometry was generated from roof by footprint, extrusion, face, and soffit.

Description: Add a location line within roof assemblies that behaves consistently inherently to the roof assembly type (e.g. core boundaries in walls), whether the geometry was generated from roof by footprint, extrusion, face, and soffit.

How Used: Once implemented, it would allow designers to have consistent expectations of how a roof would respond when the assembly changes. This would eliminate the behavioral differences between roof by footprint and roof by extrusion where footprint grows upward and extrusion grows downward. Allow users designate the location within the assembly to meet their design criteria as they draw the roof: dormers by extrusion could be set to the top face; single pitches could be set to the core boundary, adjacent to extruded roofs also set to core boundary, etc.

Feature Affinity: Roofs
