Hi,
I am about to do a very small steel framed bay window and though about trying out ASD. I have looked through the sample files for Auotcad but I can't seem to find any for ASD. Are there any "official" sample files that you can donwload from Autodesk?
Cheers,
Jonas

No.

You can get the pdf's from www.robobat.com but there are no files I am aware of.

Hello JH75,

If you are interested about a Trial version of ASD just send me a private message with your location. I will forward it to the person who will be able to send you an official trial version.

This trial version can't be download.

Regards.

Thanks but we allready have ASD. I was just after some example files that I could look at and "rip-appart". When I get time I will go though the manuell.
Cheers,

The Robot guys sent me an old example pdf file for the steel module, step by step on creating a stucture, but it is a bit incomplete with explanations, it tells you what to do, but not why, and doesn't really explain what options are available.

Overall it does help though.

I think there is a contact option on thier website, I'd ask them.

I'd recomend not using an actual project for your first attempt though, unless you have a very long lead time.

It is easier to go through a manual first. Then you get the logical order how to do things, especially if you try ASD steel.
You can download the manuals for ASD 2009 from http://www.robobat.com/n/en/320/2
