I am creating a new light and defining its performance properties with an IES file in order to replicate the performance of a solar tracking skylight. For daylighting analysis, I need this object to be considered a daylighting device, not an elecrical light. Ecotect assums it is electrical because I have to define it as a light, not a window or void. Does anyone know how I can include the contribution of this object in my daylighting analysis / graphic?

Is anyone using Ecotect to model high-performance skylights - and how are you doing it?

What is your primary modeling software? Horizontal and sloped glazed surfaces should be properly translated into gbXML schema as skylights, but the material definition can be manually altered in order to reflect the appropriate performance. Ecotect's material editor allows you to define the custom material performance.
