In order to make filter at schedule, we should use object classifications. I wish I can see "filter" tab at table style dialog like the sorting one. This will help in filtering the existing table based on selected property from property set difinition.

Example: I need to filter structural member table to put only "Member Type = Beam".

If I understand what you are saying, you would like to expand the options on the Applies To tab to be able to automatically include only certain sub-object-types, just as you can now include only objects of the types chosen.

That is an interesting idea. I could see this being implemented by providing a "+" button in front of the Structural Member item in the list box that shows all of the object/style types. Clicking on this would expose three sub-object options, with a check box in front for each: Beam, Brace and Column. This would be similar to the way that Classifications are handled on the Applies To tab.

Are there any other objects that have sub-types that should have a similar treatment? I can not think of any off of the top of my head.

The only work-around that I can think of would be to set up a Classification Definition that offered Beam, Brace and Column as choices, and then to either set up unique styles for each member type (which could triple the number of styles you would need) and assigning the Classification at the style level (and then remember to use the right style for each member type) -OR- to assign the member types to each object as object overrides (a lot of extra work).

*EDIT*
On re-reading your wish, I see that while the example you give involves an object subtype, what you really want is a way to specify a way to include only objects that have a particular value (or perhaps a range of values) for a specific property. That is also an interesting idea, provided that you can reasonably anticipate the value of a particular property.

Thanks David for your feedback. Structural members are special case because of thier special handling in ACA (sub-objects).
Indeed if we think more about filtering, we can add "Filter by object style" since I can make schedule for "Rounded columns" and another one for rectangler ones. I can filter doors based on "Level" property also...etc.
As far as I know, Revit is very clever with this "Filtering" issue.

You can create your own classification filters, such as round columns, rectangular columns, etc.
