Cranked beam Family Problem

Hi,
I have created a cranked beam family. When i use it seems my analytic line is not central. I can't figure out what is wrong with and would apprciate any suggestions.
The beam is created as a solid sweep and is cranking “downwards”.

Hi,
I think I solved the problem with the rafter not beeing drawn central - I had not locked the path to the ref plane.
I have another issue though - for some reason when I draw the rafter and I align it to top to a ref plane it is still a "gap" between the top of the rafter and the ref plane. Please see attached image.
