Hi,
I have a client that is trying to load the Hedi drivers for and OC'E TCS400 plotter but I keep getting a message that there is a driver mismatch (from ACAD) or that the Driver was developed with a later version of the DDK ( Driver Development Kit) than what the application supports.

I am assuming<--yes i know......that the problem is patch related as I have not had this problem on other 2000 installations. But, I cant remember ever having one on the XP OS.
Also if I remember correctly ADT R2 used the 2000 engine and it wont load on XP.

When I try to apply the patches SP1, Plotupdate, SP2:I get either;

1. patch quits at about 50%<--SP1
2. No responce. <--SP2
3. Not enough disk space.<-- plotter update (37GB free on Drive C)

Patches attempted in that order

Any Ideas

Hi

Is your client definitely loading the correct Oce Heidi Driver for their AutoCAD version?

Only ask as Oce supply a Heidi Driver for each of the AutoCAD version's from 2000 ie

AutoCAD 2000
AutoCAD 2000i
AutoCAD 2002
AutoCAD 2004
AutoCAD 2005

Just for your info, all Oce Heidi Drivers that relate to the TCS400 are complete rubbish (tell the truth all Oce Heidi Drivers are a total waste of time in my humble opinion), I speak from current experience on this very matter with regards the TCS400. We're currently working with Oce in France in an attempt to try and get an Oce Heidi Driver that actually works properly with the TCS400.

Yes the Oce Heidi Driver will output ok! if an AutoCAD drawing file is very simple; but if a drawing file contains such things as -

Lots of Images
Wipeouts
Irregular Shape Floating Viewports

Forget it, it's impossible using any current Oce Heidi Driver & Configuration to output an accurate Plot on the TCS400.

Check out the following post, you could just be out of luck as AutoCAD 2000 isn't Windows XP compatible / compliant -

RE: Win XP SP2 (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?p=51825#post51825)

Sorry I can't really offer much more on AutoCAD 2000 running on Windows XP as I've never used AutoCAD 2000.

Have a good one, Mike
