Hello everyone!

1. I installed Revit Architecture 2009
2. I created Hello World samples in VB.Net and C#.Net following the help - I can get them to appear under the "External Tools" menu - but they are always disabled.

I tried the same on a colleages machine it was fine.

I installed the add in manager from the sdk - this menu item was disabled too on my machine.

I uninstalled everything and reinstalled. Still no luck!!!

Can anyone suggest anything please?

Stephen

Response from ADN technical support below...

Hi Stephen,

Thank you for contacting Developer Technical Services.

From the screen shot that you have sent across, I can see that the active view was 3D view. External commands are not designed to be active when the current view is either in 3D view or perspective view, in sketch mode and in family editor mode.

Can you please verify if external commands are active when you change your current view to any other views (say to any of the floor plans or ceiling plans).

Regards,
Saikat
