Currently the duct tage that revit provides as you know is in the format:

However our company standard in CAD was to not include the inch symbols after each number. Is it possible to filter them out? or is this something that i am stuck with. Thank you

Try going into the tag family and editing it.

Go to "Project Units" in the "Settings" pulldown menu. In the top drop down box, select HVAC. Then click next to "Duct Size" and disable the " in this dialog box.

Thank you in my project units i was using fractional inches as my units and when i switched it to decimal inches i disabled the " symbol as you described. I did not know of the project units feature, this should help us out in the future for similar things.
