The architect deleted one level, and it seems like whenever they do stuff...it creates a headache for the rest of us....

So as you can see all the ductowrk is no longer inside the building under the roof, but ON the roof. Is there a way to move everything down like, say if it was original on 3rd flr ceiling level and now has to be placed on 2nd flr ceiling level? Is there a way to move all the ductwork at once or ??

this is a pic :(

Select the equipment and go to properties you should be able to change the level that it is associated to.

ya i know that but can you select all of the equipment(like highlight all of it) and do it?

Im going to give it a shot right now...Its taking forever to load right now :/

Try filtering your selection to one category at a time and see if that helps.

once i select more than one element it doesnt give me the option to change the level in the element properties tab :(

I love revit sometimes :)

i was thinking...how about selecting selecting it all with tab'ing in the section view and then just literally using the move command and moving the whole thing down??

The problem I see is that later if these guys move the levels around, i'll be screwed :(

heres what i mean, you can only change the level of the object 1 at a time. There has to be a way to select all of it...I would guess at least :(

You used Copy Monitor on your project correct?

I thought it would adjust when you accept the changes when an Arch does modify or Delete a level?

Once you accepted the changes it should adjust your work as well, I had that done to me and it adjusted my work.

If you copy all of the elements you can paste aligned on the next level.

Select all the elements and hit control + C.

Go to the floor where the ductwork should be and go to edit --> paste aligned --> current view.

This will paste all of the elements on this level at the same elevation.

yea i did do copy monitor at the start

It did do that for the floors where the level names stayed the same(where he just moved the lvl down), but in this case he literally deleted a level in the whole building >_<

BINGO!!! this is exactly how you do it

I already started redrawing it but for future refernce this is a time saver!!!

Thanks alot man!!

I had a similar problem on a prior project, I found the same problem with Revit only allowing you to change the level association by the "group" of items selected ie. fittings, or ducts only but not all at once. So once you filter and change the level association the design moves. The copy paste routine works good tho.
