OK, this is probably a newbie question but, it's been a pain to work with when trying to add pipe or fittings to these lines.
I've got 4 pieces of piping and the image shows what's going on with them. Is it the direction of flow or what??
Any ideas??

I've got no idea.

Hi, Paul,
Not sure what your question is. The + signs are for adding pipe, the arrows are to extend the existing pipe and the boxes are for moving the start and end points?
Is that what you're looking for? Post back if I've completely missed something. (highly probable)

Take a look at the way the arrows and plus signs are facing in the attached image. I would think they should all be going in the same direction. I KNOW it makes it crazy when adding fittings and trying to tie into other piping..

I don't play with AMEP, but I'm wondering if plumbing parts have a "Roll" parameter sim to the Structural Members. I know it seems odd on a round pipe, but it's a parameter on pipe columns and round HSS stock in ACA. This would give you those arrows in different direction along the Axis of the pipe. Make sense? Just a thought.

I'm with ya now.
I've had that happen before too. Most of the time it's because I've rotated a fitting using the rotate command and also grabbed the pipe at the same time. I also think that the coordinate system that is active when you draw the pipe has something to do with the arrow/pipe orientation. (Although I couldn't duplicate it just a minute ago)
Hope this helps,

They look like attribute tags to me. It looks like they appear different depending on what plane they were created in. Maybe they were defined with different text styles using inclines? Just a guess.

Silly Canucks.. Those are addpipe symbols.. Click on the little white cross and you're adding in pipe by either a tap or a tee automagically..
How ya been stranger??

and now.. it's getting better.. Take a look at the .jpg. It appears the little evil little addpipe symbols have a diabolical control over my reducers..

It looks like your pipes have been rotated around their centerline. You can Rotate3D around the X-axis to get them back to the same orientation.
Hope that helps,

I knew there was a reason they pay you the big bucks Toby!!
This will help with my eccentric reducers as well!
Now, if there was a way I could tell what angle they're actually at so I know what to rotate them by, I'll be cookin with gas..
