My boss cam to me and asked me to find information on netmeeting or meet now. does this not exist on 2005 any more, what is the last version it was available on?

if my understanding is right netmeeting allowed two users to view the same drawing over the net and red line it-i hope thats right that's what i told him.

if it does not exist on 2005 what has replaced it?

thanks for your help in advance

Hi

MeetNow disappeared in AutoCAD 2004, therefore AutoCAD 2002 is the last version to have it.

Have a good one, mike

NetMeeting was replaced by Messenger. All you need is to create a Passport (http://www.passport.net/Consumer/default.asp?rollrs=11&lc=1033) and you can talk to each other.

If your IT guy allows messenger to access the network... I know Ours doesn't.

Yes but is it possible to share the same drawing like real time redlining through Messenger?

yes...look at the Application sharing function,
your IT department may need to allow certain
network ports for this to function.

Look Under ACTIONS...Start Application Sahring....

For Netmeeting to work for desktop sharing all you need is port 1503...
