I have superimposed a profile into a profile view. I save the drawing and get out of Civil 3d. I get back into the drawing and the superimposed profile is not in the profile view where I had placed it. Is this a glitch, or am I missing something? Thanks in advance for your replies.

Update, when I open up the profile view properties, it indicates that the superimposed profile is still there and the "draw" toggle box is activated. And it is on a style where it should display in the profile.

I have had issues with this. Usually it only happens to curtain alignments, but works fine for the others. Also found that offset surface profiles would disappear from the profile views. Never found what caused it. If I recreated the alignment, the new one didn't have the issue.

I had the same problem. Profile is still there. I can clip grid into this profile, takes elevation, display station marks ans slope arrows but lines are invisible. Very suck but I'll not give up

Does anybody know if this was something that was fixed in C3d 2009 or 2010?

Ah.. I am having this same problem with 2009. I superimposed Existing ground profiles from say a EP profile view onto my Centerline profile view so everything has the correct stationing. It seems random as the superimposed EG is displayed on a few then others are not even though all are displayed under properties and are selected to "draw".

I suppose the work around is to sample EG directly onto my target profile view as opposed to superimposing or just copy eg profile, explode, and use the linework to paste into your target profile view. Hmm, probably the first as that will be dynamic in case your alignment changes.

Here is a better work around as far as I can tell. For all your superimposed profiles (i.e. EG profs) go to profile properties on each one change to a different layer than the rest of your normal profiles, change the layer to the same above in the layer manager dialogue, then LOCK the layer.

Voila..when you reopen the drawing all superimposed profiles should be displayed.
