Thinking Ahead
Join us for a presentation by DES Architects & Engineers. We will illustrate our experience and lessons learned from our pilot Revit project. The project is a Stem Cell Research Center building at University of California, Irvine, an example of the commitment that UCI is making in a location where cutting-edge research continues to take place. The presentation will illustrate both benefits and challenges in using BIM to facilitate our design & construction goals. Through our discussion we hope to emphasize on process and technical improvements to benefit future project teams and maximize the potential of a Revit environment.

Kartik Gathani & Jun Katagiri are Job Captains at DES Architects & Engineers. Their diverse knowledge in other design software and experience with previous projects were ideal to lead the task of implementing Revit into one of DES's prominent projects.
