‘Invisible’ lines in Revit
Hi there
What is the procedure when hiding a join between two objects? i.e. The line created between a floor slab and a wall? (See attached) Is there a way to draw a model line that is ‘invisible’ which then hides this joint?
Thanks any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Re: ‘Invisible’ lines in Revit
You can try using the "join geometry" command on the toolbars. The other option would be to use the "linework" tool and apply invisible lines to the edges. This option is view spscific while the "join geometry" option will fix the issue in all view where you see the problem.

Hi Jeff
Thanks for the response! The "join geometry" command works great between walls and floors. What does one do when trying to join say the underside of a stair to a wall? Is this when you would use the "linework" tool? As you mentioned this is only view specific! Is there a way of drawing an invisible line which is invisible in all views?
Thanks again

Unfortunately stairs cannot be joined to other geometry. This has been a wish list item for some years now. There is no solution that will be applied to all views. Linework is probably your best choice.

Make sure you have same materials and in "Course" detail display...
The Course, Medium and fine also affects what you are trying to achieve...
