Louver - Parametric
I created a parametric louver family with help / instructions from one of Mr. Spot's posts.
It seemed to work well, until I noticed that the louver blades were showing up in plan views incorrectly. The family looks good in elevation, section and normal plan views; however,
if one raises the louver sill to above the view's cut plane, one sees an isolated louver blade.
The blades are a nested family within the louver family, and I suspect the problem lies within the nested louver blade family. I tried to modify the blade family without success.
Thoughts are appreciated,
Greg

Re: Louver - Parametric
You just need to set things so they only show wne cut in plan. Not when they are viewed in plan... I think this is what you are after...

Re: Louver - Parametric
Thanks Aaron,
That certainly makes all the blades disappear in plan views, but it seems odd that the blade geometry, when left visible in plan views, is seen outside of it's "real" location.

Re: Louver - Parametric
just a guess ...
Check the louver family to ensure there's no geometry that would still overlap the plan's cut plane even if the louver geometry didn't. It's common to place vertical invisible lines in families to ensure they'll display in plan ... even though they may exist above the cut plane.
