Thumbnail Preview images too dark.
Hi, can't seem to get an answer on this problem with AutoCad 2012. When I use Open Files... the preview in the dialogue box is very dark - pretty well unusable. I've tried our own and acadiso templates and saving as 2010 and 2004 files as well as trying a variety of existing files.
Any ideas please?
Re: Thumbnail Preview images too dark.
does this occur on all drawings? do you have a lot of info that is spread out? do you have anything in the drawing?
can you post a screen shot?
Re: Thumbnail Preview images too dark.
It has, I believe, happened with every drawing I've looked at whether created in 2008, 2011 or 2012 (but all saved to 2004). I have created basic drawings using templates as mentioned previously, lines etc in model space and title block & border in paper space. When I go to re-open them in 2012 the previews are so dark that the drawings are unrecognisable.
Re: Thumbnail Preview images too dark.
I think I'll give up on this problem - and 2012. Maybe 2013 will be a better version - yeah right!
Re: Thumbnail Preview images too dark.
can you post a screen shot, I'm just not understanding what it is you are referring to.
Re: Thumbnail Preview images too dark.
If this is referring to the preview image, and if locked layer fading or XREF fading is being used, *and* if the objects are on locked layers and/or XREFs, then the preview image saved may be reflecting the display conditions.

Has anyone found an answer to this post yet? (I did not say "woo hoo")
