Current Window in print dialog grayed out, can't select

Several times when I try to print one page, I select "print" and only the "selected views/sheets" selection under "print range" is available. I'm unable to choose "current window" or "visible portion of current window", they are both grayed out and clicking on them does nothing. This has happened with different sheets and views so it doesn't seem to be tied to one or the other. I try to close and reopen the print dialog several times and eventually I am able to get it, however now and then that doesn't work and I have to use the "selected views/sheets". If I want to preview my page this option isn't available under "selected views/sheets", so that doesn't always work, certainly when I'm first trying to set up my project and sheets.

Does anyone know why this is doing this? Is there a fix for it? I'm wondering if it's a simple setting that I just don't understand. Thanks.

Make sure that your pointers focus is in the drawing window not the project browser. Just click in the drawing window before opening the print dialog box.

Such an annoying problem. I can't believe it has such a simple solution. Thanks!
