Detail references
When referencing a detail you can have Revit add text to the lower corner i.e. TYP. or SIM.
Does anyone know how to have one detail callout reference a detail as TYP. in one spot and then SIM. in another?
I have made a reference type for TYP. and then duplicated the type naming it SIM., but when I assign the type to the flag that is referencing the detail, Revit assigns the same type to all the references (whether it be TYP or SIM) and not for the specific flag that I am placing at that time. So I can't have a flag for the typical condition and then a separate flag for SIM or OPP. or any other condition I want to denote.

Nobody has run into this?

Re: Detail references
You can create multiple callout types each with a different reference label - seems to be a lot of work. You could just use a plain text note next to the callout bubble.

Re: Detail references
Yes you are right, but as far as I can tell you can only have one type of callout reference a drafting view (as least on the same plan).
If I flag a drafting view in one location with a typical flag type, and then flag it again in another location assigning it with a SIM. type callout It will change the previous flag to SIM. and all other references to that detail. At least that has been my experience. I am hoping someone can tell me how to get around this or where I was going wrong.
I am using plain text right now as an alternative, but it is extra work and can lead to little pieces of text left behind if a detail is moved or removed.

Re: Detail references
Ran into the problem, came up with the same solution.
This problem goes back to R2 of revit structure.
Revit purist will tell you there's no need to typ or sim since you can just cut another section from the model.
