Missing items in AutoCAD DWG
Good Morning All,
Strange question and while my first inkling is always that "you're never the first person who has run into this problem", my GoogleFu and searching of the AUGI forums haven't yielded any appreciable help.
A colleague was working on a drawing in AutoCAD MEP 2011, drawing a section of some equipment, followed by some work on a partial plan view. This was on Saturday Nov. 12. Today, when he opened the drawing, and lines and other objects drawn on the section disappeared, but everything on the partial plan view (that was drawn AFTER the section) were there.
We've tried all the obvious stuff like making sure layers are thawed and on, but I'm really at a loss as to what could be causing this to happen!
Thanks for your time!
Re: Missing items in AutoCAD DWG
Is it possible that a massive "UNDO" occurred without the drafters knowledge and then he/she continued drawing, saved, without ever realizing that the items were erased...?
I know this seems far fetched, but if the items were in a different layout, in a different area of MS not on the screen, frozen, etc. - it would be possible for items to be deleted and not notice until later.

Thanks for your reply!
It's far fetched, but at this point I'll consider anything. In this case, we're just going to re-do the work and just keep going, little we can do at this point. However, still hoping to at least get some insight so as to not have it happen again.

Have clipping planes been set through the VIEW command?
VIEW \ OFF would fix that.
