Tranfer Data Rows in schedules to other projects
Summary: Data Rows inserted into schedules or sheet indexes need the ability to transfer to other project files.
Description: I am refining office sheet sets to include the sheet index on our title sheet set-up to follow national cad standard drawing order. To do this I created the sheet index, inserted data rows for each discipline, added parameters for sorting. This works perfectly BUT when I open a new project and insert from file the schedule comes over only with "real" sheets and no data rows for other disciplines. Is there anyway to make the data rows transfer? Seems like this could be a toggle on/off or just automated to do it!

This can easily be accomplished by copying the sheets from one file and pasting them into another. Granted - it isn't fully automatic but it is simple enough. Also - set this up in your template and then it isn't a problem ;)

Hello Chad
Give this a test run...it doesn't work!
I understand about inserting from file and also copy/paste between projects.
I am a long time revit user.
I am refining our office sheet set master file to include consultant placeholders in the sheet index.
This sorts etc. just fine in the master file but when inserted into a project or copy/pasted
the DATA ROWS do not transfer, only "real" sheets transfer.
This means for every project the user has to repeat the insertion of data rows and add the necessary information into
fields for sorting / filter etc. For the sake of efficiency and consistency we want this established in our master file,
so that the same format (discipline order etc.) is used consistently in all projects.
It is a real waste of time to have to repeat this for each project and not be able to transfer the data rows.

Sorry, the Placeholder Sheets won't transfer using Insert from File or Copy to Clipboard/Paste. Your best bet for now is to make sure your project template has the placeholders you want each project to start off with. That way you won't need to transfer them at all, they'll be there. It won't help projects that are already underway, sorry.
