RE: how to edit/change text size in mtext
i am in the text edit formatting and i am selecting the word note and trying to change it by our style (L 80 to B 140) and it changes the whole mtext i know i can go and change the text height for individual words by changing the text height from .8 to 1.4 but we try and follow our cad standards so the next person does not get screwed up.

What software and what version are you using? MTEXT has different capabilities in different versions.
One cheat that I use is to make the word "NOTE:" a different piece of text.

You can't use different text style in one mtext. You can change the font type and size. Highlight the text and use one of the other drop downs

Hi
You could look as using something like NotePad as your Multiline Text Editor, you could then apply the required formatting codes.
For information of formatting codes ( if required ), refer to the AutoCAD Online Help File [F1] -
"Format Multiline Text in an Alternate Text Editor"
Have a good one, Mike

Be aware that if you add formatting that isn't supported by the standard MTEXT editor, this can cause headaches for other people who open your drawing and try to edit the MTEXT in the standard MTEXT editor.
And it isn't really any different than selecting the word in the MTEXT editor and changing the height.
Has the MTEXT editor been improved in 2006? As it is, I'm amazed that Autodesk kept the same POS editor through so many versions...
