Frustrating dialog box - Revit MEP
I get the following error when I select a self made water fitting family that I place into another family:
There is no defined pipe size available. Check pipe size unit settings (format, rounding) or pipe settings in Mechanical Settings Dialog.
Any idea where I can change this within the family so i can be productive and not closing eroor boxes all afternoon?
Any help is appreciated.

I'm having the exact same problem. The unit settings in the family don't appear to address whatever the issue seems to be. You ever figure this out?
Re: Frustrating dialog box - Revit MEP
I dont think you can nest a fitting into another family...doesnt seem right. I think that one would need to create a sweep, with the pipe profile. You are correct, there are no pipe size settings in families, because you have to drive the geometry, and the fitting families are driven by .csv files.
Re: Frustrating dialog box - Revit MEP
I have done this successfully in the 2011 release. 2012 and 2013 have an issue with nesting. Still seems to work, just getting through the error boxes is a pain.
