Pre-select objects, issue command - nothing
Ok, this will probably sound weird, OR there will be some all too simple fix and I'll feel stupid, but if I get my problem fixed, I'll be happy.
First off, AutoCAD is not deleting stuff. I can select it and hit the delete button on my keyboard, and NOTHING. I can select clear from the EDIT dropdown menu, and NOTHING. It is annoying cause I KNOW it was working yesterday... I swear it was. So question is, what did I do between yesterday and today and how can I fix it?
Also, a bit quirky is when I select something and want to move or copy it, it acts like I have not selected anything and asks me to select objects.
Ideas?
RE: Commands not working?
RE: Commands not working?
It was set to 0. Is it supposed to be 0 or 1?
RE: Commands not working?
"1" if you want to pick the objects then run the command.
Otherwise you are in the old method of working in which you start the command then pick objects.
RE: Commands not working?
Thanks. Weird as ever. I swear it was working yesterday and suddenly swapped today. Or maybe it is time for a vacation. Anyway... thanks again!

Hi "nkelley" ( Sorry, I do not know your real name )
Please note I have *moved* this thread from the AutoCAD 2006 CUI Menus forum to this one as I feel this particular Forum is a more appropriate place for such a topic.
Thanks, Mike

Don't beat yourself up too much about it. It actually pretty common. If you look at the property palette there is a button that changes this setting next to the drop down. Real easy to hit this button accidentally.
