layout names and files

Hello, I don´t know how to do this:

I have a layout called 03.02.20 and I’d like to create a field that get me back the value 3.2.20. Similarly, if I had another layout called 23.02.20 I would like it to return the value 23.2.20. Summing up, I would like to create a field that erases any zero at the first position and behind a point, but keeping the eights positions.

Are the zeros always going to be present and in the same location?
